Getting an insight into my....

Processes

Design/UI/Solution development personal workflow....

Below takes you through the steps, procedures and questions raised in order to commence, undertake and fulfill a brief to the best solution based degree. I have generated and developed this scenario throughout my many years within the design/UI/UX, solution and web developing industries. I have been lucky enough to acquire this experience, working with both the private and public industry, which generally requires different approaches and budget considerations when it comes to such aspects as project scale just to name one.
Please note; certain steps undertaken are dependent on project type.

  1. What problem do you want to solve?
  2. Who has this problem?
  3. Can the solution help everyone equally?
  4. What are the requirements for this project?
  5. What are our limitations — budget and other constraints?
  6. What is our ultimate goal?
  1. Do current solutions exist that try to solve the problem?
  2. Are these failing to meet customer needs in any way?
  3. Do these solutions offer niche-specific versions?
  4. How much are customers spending on similar products?
  5. Can you use existing technologies — open-source or otherwise — to solve the problem?
  1. How might we achieve X?
  2. What is the scope and timeframe for developing the solution?
  1. Does it fit the necessary time frame?
  2. Can you complete it within budget restraints?
  3. Does it truly align with your target customer's needs?
  1. Rely on lo-fi prototypes like storyboards or partially developed products to manually fulfil the process.
  1. Site map
  2. User flow
  3. Mockups
  4. Images
  5. Icons
  6. Colours
  7. etc
  1. User testing
  2. Beta launch
  3. Internal testing

" At first I did not have much of a design idea or direction for the things I needed. Joshua sat down with me and helped me develop certain ideas which we then built the design direction from. It was a great holistic experience throughout the entire project. He also kept me up to date along each step of the way, which was really great! "
